Cratty

Kathy Ann Cratty, 71, of Slippery Rock, passed away suddenly March 26, 2023.

She was born Dec. 11, 1951, in Grove City, to John C. and Edna L. Reimers.

Kathy met and was married to the love of her life, Donald W. Cratty of Slippery Rock, on Dec. 30, 1967. He preceded her in death on Sept. 28, 1988.

Their children are Jeffery (Piper) Cratty of Kennewick, Wash.; Colleen (Andrew) Bollinger of Slippery Rock; Steven (Melissa) Cratty of Johnstown; and James (Christi) Cratty of Volant.

She was the grandmother to Maggie, Jake, Wyatt, Michael, Duncan, Katerina and Brodrick; and the great-grandmother to Ollie.

She was a sterling example of faith and perseverance to her family.

She was a longtime employee at Sylvan America in Kittanning, where she served as an accountant.

Her love for sport was ever-present — all Pittsburgh teams were held in high regard.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints congregation in Slippery Rock.

She lived her life in faith and humble service to the Lord. She knew this life was a test, and it was supposed to be hard for a reason.

She was loved by all who knew her and will be missed dearly.

Kathy was greeted on Sunday by those who preceded her in death, her husband, Don; her parents, John and Edna; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Anita.

CRATTY — Visitation for Kathy A. Cratty, who died Sunday, March 26, 2023, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 247 Kelly Blvd., Slippery Rock, led by Branch President Russ Karl.

Private interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery.
