Jerry L. Harris Sr., 68, of East Brady, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2023, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

He was born Sept. 17, 1954, in Johnstown, Pa., son to the late Lester and Mary Harris.

Jerry worked at Koppers/Indspec Chemical Corporation in Petrolia for 33 years. He also worked at McCutcheon Enterprise as a truck driver, and at Oberg Industries for several years.

He served for 17 years at the Sugarcreek Township Volunteer Ambulance Service and was a lifetime member of the Sugarcreek Township Volunteer Fire Department. He also was a member of the Rimersburg Rod and Gun Club and the Mason’s Kittanning East Brady Lodge #244.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and target shooting.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 48 years, Pamela (Febinger) Harris of East Brady; son, Jerry Harris Jr. and his wife, Lori, of Archbald, Pa.; daughter, Melissa Cornett and her husband, Aaron, of Ridgecrest, Calif.; three grandchildren, Kimberly Ring, Blair Cornett and Emma Harris; brother, Danny Harris and his wife, Kathy, of East Brady; sister, Diane Wieland of Chicora; sister, Mary Ann Watts and her husband, Tim, of East Brady; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Mary Harris; and a brother, Robert McKee.

HARRIS — Friends of Jerry L. Harris Sr., who died Sunday, March 26, 2023, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the SNYDER-CRISSMAN FUNERAL HOME in Cowansville.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with additional visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Interment is in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Chicora.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Jerry’s honor to the American Cancer Society.
