Sally Ranalli

Ranalli

Sally Renteria Ranalli, passed peacefully in her sleep on Friday, March 10, 2023, at the age of 74 after her long journey with dementia. Sally had her three children surrounding her with love and warm memories for her final hours.

Sally was born on Oct. 19, 1948, and was one of four children of Henry and Mary Renteria of Los Angeles, Calif.

Sally wore many career hats throughout her life, as a dental assistant, cosmetics specialist and a member of the service industry. Eventually, Sally made her way across the country and landed in Western Pennsylvania with her husband, Denis Ranalli, and her three children, Christy, Jeff and Jessica.

Sally was always the life of the party, with a deep love of music and friends and all things purple, spreading white light and smiles wherever she went.

Sally is survived by her brothers, Henry (Virginia) Renteria and Adam (Martha) Renteria; her sister, Evelyn (Henry) Castillo; her children, Christy (Michael Green), Jeff (Dawn) Ranalli and Jessica (Nathan) Moran; her grandchildren, Trey, Olivia, Jayde, Aria, Rebekka, Eva, Eden and Kira; as well as her two great-grandchildren, Raiden and Theia.

Sally was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Mary Renteria; and her husband, Denis Ranalli.

The family would also like to thank the wonderful staff and caregivers at Sunshine Village Memory Care facility in Phoenix, for their warmth, love and patience while caring for our mom. We are forever grateful.

Because in life, Sally cast such a wide net, the family will take some time to decide where and when best to honor her.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration at www.theaftd.org.
