Peggy Ann Ball
Peggy Ann (Pratt) Ball, 79, of St. Joseph, Mich., formerly of Bruin, passed away, receiving her heavenly wings on March 21, 2023, with her loving family at her side.
Peggy was born in Butler on Feb. 23, 1944. She was the daughter of the late Orval “Pope” Roudebush and Erma Blystone Roudebush-Ace.
She is survived by her loving husband of 18 years, James A. Ball of St. Joseph, Mich.; her daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and the Rev. Donald Parton of DeLand, Fla.; her son and daughter-in-law, Ronald Jr. and D’Lisa Pratt of Conroe, Texas; her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Gary Snyder of Louisville, Ky.; her stepson, Robert Ball of Eau Claire, Mich.; her stepdaughters, Sandy Ball of St. Joseph, Mich., and Deby Briley and stepson-in-law, Dan, of Watervliet, Mich.; 12 grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 10 stepgreat-grandchildren; a sister, Tanya Rumbaugh and her husband, Alvin, of Chicora; a brother, the Rev. OJ Roudebush of Butler; as well as a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Peggy attended church at Safe Harbor in Sodus, Mich., where she was a Bible teacher, senior care ministry director, and devotional leader.
She attended school at Karns City, and graduated from Kittanning Beauty School. She later went on to be the director of the Stuart Florida Cosmetology School. Peggy also taught at the Vocational Cosmetology School in Stuart, Fla.
Peggy was a faithful wife, loving mother, proud Nana, mentor, mighty prayer warrior, encourager, devoted friend, generous giver, and anointed teacher. Peggy was strong in her faith and continued to believe God for her healing during her recent sickness.
In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her first husband of 41 years, Ronald S. Pratt Sr., and stepdaughter, Melinda Michaels of Eau Claire, Mich.
BALL — A celebration of life service and a time of sharing special memories of Peggy Ann (Pratt) Ball, who died Tuesday, March 21, 2023, will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at HILE FUNERAL HOME OF CHICORA, 339 Chicora-Fenelton Road, Chicora.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Derek Snyder, Peggy’s grandson officiating.
Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Chicora.
A memorial service will be held later at Safe Harbor Church, 3552 S. Pipestone Road, Sodus, MI 49126. In honor of Peggy, memorial donations may be made to Safe Harbor Church.
