Eleanore Elkins, 88, of Lyndora, passed away, Monday, March 20, 2023, at her home.

She was born in Force, Pa., Elk County, and was a daughter of the late Howard Wise and Theresa (Skrabak) Wise.

Eleanore was retired from Martin Marietta Aerospace in Orlando, Fla., where she worked for 30 years as a developer.

She was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Conrad Roman Catholic Church, and was a life member of the VFW 249 Auxiliary.

She enjoyed reading, working jigsaw puzzles, and had loved her family and her cat, Callie.

Surviving are her daughters, Sharon Connell and Susie McNally; six grandchildren, Wendy Andrews, Jason Tindall, Melanie Easterwood, Randall Connell, Timothy Connell and William McNally; 11 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Kenneth Wise, Ervin Wise, Sylvia Evans, Caroline Bell, Maxine Heardman and Florence Reilly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Regina Reist; a son, Randall Connell; and a brother, Ronald “Hoot” Wise.

ELKINS — Family and friends of Eleanore Elkins, who died Monday, March 20, 2023, will gather from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.

Services will follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home with Deacon Mitch Natali to officiate.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the VFW 249, 429 W. Jefferson St., Butler.
