Debbi Nelson Mastro, 57, of Mars, died at home on March 18, 2023, surrounded by her family after a brief battle with cancer.

She was born in Corry, Pa., on Aug. 6, 1965, and attended Corry Elementary schools and graduated from Corry Area High School in 1983.

After receiving her associate degree in mathematics and science from Jamestown Community College, she pursued a Bachelor of Science in education from Slippery Rock University in 1988, she obtained both a Realtor and broker’s license and worked for Century 21, Northwood and Coldwell Banker Realty.

Debbi was driven, successful and generous with her time and thoughtful gestures. She will be remembered for her dynamic personality....and that laugh.

She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Diane, who passed away in 1991; her father, Harry (Jigger) Nelson, who passed away in 2017; her mother, Barbara Morris, who passed away in 2022; and many other relatives.

Debbi is survived by her husband of 32 years, Raymond, whom she married on March 16, 1991; and by their children, Lexie and Nick, both of the Pittsburgh area.

Although her life was in Mars, she was always a “Corry girl.”

From her “girlfriends,” Melinda (Rona), Gynnell, Georgie, Karen and Tammy, “Grief is the price we pay for love.”
