Stella M. Rape, 84, of Butler, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023.

Born Feb. 25, 1939, in Harmony, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Stella S. Rice Eppinger.

Stella was a former member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. She was a current member of the Meridian United Presbyterian Church.

She was employed by the Seneca Valley School District for more than 20 years.

She served on multiple committees involving her children’s activities through the years. She enjoyed her monthly card club gatherings with her friends, which she was also involved in for many years. She loved gardening and her flowers. Above all, she loved visits with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

Stella leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Cynthia Palladino, Curtis Rape Sr., and Christopher (Pamela) Rape; her grandchildren, Curtis, Felicia, Stephanie and Paige; her great-grandchildren, Levi, Owen, Nora, Grace, Lucy, Lena and Aiden; her brother, Donald Eppinger; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Stella was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Levi Rape, who passed on Nov. 18, 2020; and her siblings, Roy Eppinger, Richard Eppinger, Florence “Flo” Gross, Harold Eppinger and Eleanora Sloan.

RAPE — Friends of Stella M. Rape, who died Sunday, March 19, 2023, will be received from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER OF CONNOQUENESSING TOWNSHIP, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.

Stella will be laid to rest at Evans City Cemetery in Evans City.
