SRU’s Kozarian gets Player of Week

SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University senior shortstop Jon Kozarian has been named PSAC West Baseball Athlete of the Week.

Kozarian hit .417 in a weekend series against Wilmington, including a home run, triple, five runs scored and four RBI.

Knoch 8th-grader places at nationals

Knoch Middle School eighth-grader Carter French placed in two events at the Adidas Track and Field Indoor Nationals at Virginia Beach last weekend.

Carter placed fourth in the 3,000 meters and fifth in the mile run.
