Caroljo Henderson
Caroljo Forsythe Lee Henderson, 88, of Valencia, died peacefully on March 19, 2023.
Caroljo, a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown, lived a full life, settling in Middlesex Township and becoming active in politics. Caroljo used her journalism degree from Carnegie Tech to become the editor of the Middlesex Monitor and wrote a book on the history of Southern Butler County called, “Merrie Olde Middlesex.” Caroljo used her writing skills further, as the public relations director of Buhl Planetarium and later, as the director of marketing for the launch of the Carnegie Science Center, from where she retired.
Caroljo loved reading her mystery novels, dancing in her high heels, and gardening, especially weeding! And no one could beat her at the word games she loved! Caroljo was passionate about genealogy, and traveling worldwide to trace her family history back 10 generations.
She was the beloved wife of the late David Henderson.
Her legacy will live on in her children, Lauri Lee (Scott) Komita, John “Jet” Thomas (Lynn) Lee, and Jeffrey Todd (Lisa) Lee; nine grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.
