Anthony “Tony” Lee Goss, 71, of Butler, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, March 17, 2023, after a short battle with dementia.

He was born on June 6, 1951, in Butler, the son of the late Leroy Jr. and Mabel (Derita) Goss.

After high school graduation, Tony served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. He was employed for 27 years at Allied Auto Parts in Butler. He then continued in the industry at several other stores until he made his final move to AK Steel, where he retired in 2015. Tony was known to have a strong work ethic and was loved by all. He will be forever missed.

Tony left behind his loving wife, Lorrie (McClymonds) Goss; his children, Brian (Debbie) Goss, Angela (Andy) Rachuba and Randy (Jeannette) Timblin; and his sister, Georgeann Erdos. Also surviving are eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and his nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he also was preceded in death by his son, Jeisan Timblin; and his brother, Leroy Goss III.

GOSS — Family and friends of Anthony “Tony” Lee Goss, who died Friday, March 17, 2023, will be received from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler. His funeral service will follow immediately at the funeral home.

A private burial will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2023.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Butler County Humane Society or the American Cancer Society.
