Julie was very active in the community, either working or volunteering for most of her life. During her lifetime, she managed the diner on Water Street in Kittanning, for many years, then opened the Corner Cupboard Restaurant in Worthington. She belonged to the Worthington-West Franklin Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, Ford City Women’s Auxiliary, Lady Rebecca Lodge in Craigsville, and along with her husband and several other couples, established the Worthington American Legion. Julie also spent over 25 years as a volunteer at the Armstrong County Memorial Hospital.

Julie will be remembered by her son, Frank Kersul (Kathy Armstrong) of Olympia, Wash.; and her daughter and son-in-law, Rosemary and Ralph White of Worthington.

Also surviving are her grandchildren, Stephen Waratuke (Cecily), Jeffrey Waratuke (Jennifer), and Samantha Kersul (Alex Hur).

With greatest love, she will also be remembered by her great-grandchildren, Kameron Kersul, Emma Rose, and Juliet, Kenneth Waratuke and Tyler Waratuke.
