A free financial aid webinar geared toward helping families plan ahead for the cost of college will be offered through a partnership between the state Higher Education Assistance Agency and the state Treasury Department.

The webinar, which will be held from noon to 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, will focus on the benefits of PA 529 plans and other ways to fund college.

PA Forward loans, a state-based private loan option to cover gaps in funding, also will be highlighted.

The webinar is being offered during America Saves Week.
