John Nalepa III, 91, of Nightdale, N.C., passed away on Monday, Feb. 20, 2023.

He was born in Pittsburgh on Dec. 14, 1931, and was the son of the late John and Elizabeth Nalepa.

John served his country honorably in the U.S. Army.

He loved going to the beach and spending time with family and friends.

John was loved and will be forever missed.

He was the father of Karl (Martha) Nalepa, Mark (LouAnn) Nalepa, John (Karen) Nalepa, Lisa Steinmiller and Dona (Andy) Weigand; brother of George and Chuck Nalepa; and the stepfather of Jody (Gary) Crafford and Beverly (Ed) Oliver.

He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, MaryAnn; his second wife, Betty; and his sister, Elizabeth.

NALEPA — Services are being held privately for John Nalepa III, who died Monday, Feb. 20, 2023.

Arrangements are through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John’s name to a charity of the donor’s choice.
