Erickson

Herman M. Erickson, 82, of Saxonburg, passed away on Feb. 16, 2023, at his home.

Born March 26, 1940, in Saxonburg, he was the son of Herman and Stella (Danik) Erickson.

Herm worked as a crane operator for Allegheny Ludlum, having retired in 2004 after 40 years.

Herm was a lifelong member of the West View Sportsmen’s Club.

He will forever be remembered for his passion for hunting and fishing and going to Devil’s Elbow Camp.

Surviving are his daughter, Heather (Eric) Tautkus of Butler; his son, Herman J. Erickson of Saxonburg; his grandson, Steven Tautkus; and many brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marie V. Erickson, who passed away on Nov. 2, 2013; and one sister.

ERICKSON — Friends of Herman M. Erickson, who died Thursday, Feb. 16, 2023, will be received from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, 2023, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.

Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Dr. Darrell Greenawalt officiating.

Interment will follow in Saxonburg Memorial Church Cemetery.
