‘Love Your Neighbor’ event set for Sunday
People from local religious and other community organizations will gather at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, in Butler’s Diamond Park to encourage kindness toward — and neighborly concern for — others.
Called the “Love Your Neighbor Gathering,” the event was called as a response to conflict in the world and the local region.
Clergy and other community leaders will speak. Among the topics will be ways that people of different faiths, interests and backgrounds can work to strengthen the community through positive interactions with others.
The event is sponsored by the Butler Clergy Network and is expected to last until 3 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to take their own chairs.
In case of inclement weather, the event will move from Diamond Park into the Glade Run Lutheran Services building at 123 E. Diamond St.
