Two Beaver County men are requesting medical monitoring for those within a thirty mile radius of the Feb. 3 East Palestine, Ohio, derailment and controlled burn — and Butler County residents are among that number.

Areas of Cranberry and Slippery Rock townships, Mars, Prospect and Zelienople boroughs are shown on the map used in a class-action lawsuit, which was filed last week against Norfolk Southern Railway.

The case was filed by Andrew Erdos and David Anderson, residents of New Galilee, Beaver County. It notes that businesses and residents have the potential to suffer losses or experience long-term health affects from the controlled burn of vinyl chloride.
