Greenawalt

Carolyn S. (Elliott) Greenawalt, 77, of West Sunbury, gained her wings on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2023.

She was born in Butler on Nov. 4, 1945, and was the daughter of the late Dale “Grump” and Sarah “Tiny” (Myers) Elliott.

Carolyn enjoyed the outdoors. She loved farming, animals, working hard and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Carolyn always had a story to tell connected to farming.

She loved raising her family around her principles and hard work. Carolyn was loved, respected and will be forever missed. She is now farming the farm of her dreams.

She was the mother of Sandra Stoner and Donna (Joe) Patterson; grandmother of Brandy, Felicia, Chelsea, Adam, Brooke and Paige; great-grandmother of Justice, Jayla, Jaxson, Riley, Cameron, Cayden, Caleb and Emersyn.

Carolyn also is survived by her beloved cousin, Carol Jane Hulton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Greenawalt; her daughter, Tammy Duffield; and her infant son, Paul.

GREENAWALT — Family and friends of Carolyn S. (Elliott) Greenawalt, who died Saturday, Feb. 11, 2023, will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.

A prayer service will immediately follow in the funeral home.

Burial will be held privately.
