Onufer

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our mom, Erma “Marie” (Edes) Onufer, of Butler, on Feb. 1, 2023.

Marie, as she preferred to be called, was born on Sept. 30, 1938, and was the oldest of five children. She was the daughter of the late Emil Martin and Edna Blanche Edes of Slippery Rock.

Marie is survived by two sisters, Delores (John) Reeher of Hermitage and Jackie Hildebrand of Slippery Rock; and her beloved brother, Emil Martin “Marty” Jr. (Kay) Edes.

She is also survived by her four children, Nicholas Anthony, Rosalia Marie, Diana Lynn (John) and Daniel Mark; and five grandchildren whom she loved very much for their own unique qualities, Nikki Marie (Corey), Jessica Lynn, Michael Thomas, Angela Michele and Jackson Andrew; seven great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

We would also like to mention our lifelong friends, Beth Marie Paulick Hodapp, Keith Shettler and Mike Shettler. She loved you as if you were her own.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Edna Mae Travaglio; her granddaughter, Bobbi Sue Holloway; two nephews, Kenneth Christy and Bradley Reeher; and her fur babies, Casey and Sassie.

Our family would also like to thank Dr. Thomas Krivak for being a shining example of dignity and respect in patient care. She adored you and we thank you for giving us two more years with our mom.

ONUFER — All services for Erma “Marie” (Edes) Onufer, who died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2023, will be held privately.

Arrangements are through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.
