Margarette “Peg” Whitmire, 81, of Butler, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2023, under the care of Good Samaritan Hospice.

She was born in Butler on Oct. 22,1941, the daughter to the late Richard and Pearl (Hartle) Reges. Although Peg was born in Butler, she lived most of her life in Michigan. She was extremely family-oriented, was loved by all who knew her, and will be forever missed.

Peg is survived by the love of her life, Gail “Red” Whitmire. She was the mother of Richard “Bud” Morgan and Lou (Bev) Morgan. Peg is also survived by three brothers, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her step-daughters, Debra Whitmire-Young and Cindy Whitmire-Jack.

She was preceded in death by her beloved son, David Morgan.
