Carl T. “Bud” Anderson Jr., 78, of Butler passed away Sunday, Jan. 29, 2023, at his home after a long illness.
Bud was born Jan. 5, 1945, in Butler County as the son of the late Carl Thomas Anderson and the late Thelma Loretta Thompson Anderson. Bud had been employed as a crane operator at Pullman Standard until its closing and later was an over-the-road truck driver.
Bud was an affectionate and loving father to his four sons, Travis (Andee) Anderson of Renfrew, Tyler (Jenny) Anderson of London, Ohio, Keith (Mashelle) Hein of Punxsutawney and Brett (Michelle) Burtner of Buffalo, N.Y.; and he loved his five grandchildren, Noah, Ella, Maci, Eli and Liam. He was a loving brother to five sisters, Carol (Don) Barone of Ohio, Bert Lawton of Butler, Doris (Ace) Bortmas of Hooker, Kathy Baker of Chicora and Beverly (Dennis) Schnitski of Butler; and three brothers, Glenn (Mary Ann) Anderson of Chicora, Kenneth (Brenda) Anderson of Butler and Dale (Penny) Anderson of Euclid; and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Bud always saw the best in people and made each and everyone feel so special.
Bud was preceded in death by two sisters, Pauline Golla and Nancy Boyd.

ANDERSON — The family of Carl T. “Bud” Anderson Jr., who died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2023, will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the WILLIAM F. YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Dennis Krajacic officiating.
Burial will follow at West Sunbury Union Cemetery.
