Delton E. Neal
Delton E. Neal, 93, of Butler, formerly of Evans City, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2023, while under the care of the Butler VA Living Community.
Born April 19, 1929, in Davis, W.Va., he was the son of the late Allan W. and Juanita E. Lambert Neal.
He was a proud U.S. Army Korean War veteran.
He was employed at Mine Safety in Callery for 39 years.
He was formerly a member of the Zelienople American Legion, and a life member of the Lyndora American Legion and the Evans City VFW. He also was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the Harmony Moose Lodge.
In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, traveling and camping. He enjoyed camping in East Brady for 30 years. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
Delton leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of over 61 years, Joann (Mullenax) Neal; his children, Deborah (Kevin) Rieber of St. Cloud, Fla., Darla (David) Hall of Ohio, Edward (Maureen) Neal of Evans City, and Brenda Best of Butler; his siblings, Evelyn Neal Sinz of Evans City, Eileen Neal McCall of Portersville, Shirley Groves of Florida, Sharon Tasker Roy of West Virginia, and Robert Tasker of Washington; his grandchildren, Vincent Neal, Andrew Burgard, Jared Neal, Dylan Neal, Cody Neal and Megan Best; and his four great-grandchildren, Andrew Neal, Vaden Neal, Zander Neal and Xandrea Neal.
In addition to his parents, Delton was preceded in death by his brothers, Allan W. Neal Jr. and Ross Neal.
NEAL — The family of Delton E. Neal, who died Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2023, will receive friends for visitation from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER OF CONNOQUENESSING TOWNSHIP, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew, with a private family memorial service to follow, with Pastor Ron Schermerhorn of Mount Chestnut Presbyterian Church officiating.
Delton will be laid to rest at Butler County Memorial Park in Butler.
