Valentine’s Gala benefits heart failure foundation
The Joe Beretta Foundation will have its annual Hopeful Hearts Valentine’s Gala fundraising event Feb. 11 in the a Grand Hall at the Priory Hotel on Pittsburgh’s North Shore.
Tickets are available at thejoeberettafoundation.com. Semi-formal attire is suggested for the evening.
The Joe Beretta Foundation was established to meet the essential, non-medical needs of advanced heart failure patients, caregivers and their families by providing them with emergency housing and financial stability during times of crisis, as well as emotional support. Only 4% of hospitals nationwide are able to treat this disease, so the vast majority of patients must travel long distance to receive life-saving care, resulting in fear, isolation and financial distress.
The foundation currently serves patients in five hospitals across two cities, including UPMC Presbyterian and Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
