Dante Tabacchi II
Dante J. Tabacchi II, 79, of Seven Fields, passed away on Tuesday morning, Jan. 24, 2023.
Born in Curtisville, Pa., on May 1, 1943, he was the son of the late Dante and Mary Leta Walchesky Tabacchi.
Dante was a 1961 graduate of West Deer High School.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Most of Dan’s working years were in sales and marketing for Koppers, U.S. Steel and Aristech in Pittsburgh, Swan Corporation in Illinois, and Avonite in New Mexico.
A gifted handyman who could fix anything, he was always willing to help others with his many skills. He was the most loving, kindhearted and unselfish husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
Surviving are his wife, Evelyn “Evvy” Flanagan Tabacchi, whom he married on Sept. 12, 1964; three sons, David Tabacchi (Denise) and Michael Tabacchi of Seven Fields, and James Tabacchi (Debbie) of Butler; his grandchildren, Gianna and Dante Tabacchi; and a sister, Mary Leta Biehl (Harold) of West Deer.
TABACCHI — Friends of Dante J. Tabacchi II, who died Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2023, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at noon Saturday at St. Kilian Church, 7076 Franklin Road, Cranberry Township. Please meet at the church.
Burial will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville.
