Ferguson

John Maxwell Ferguson Jr., 69, of Butler, passed away on Jan. 8, 2023, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

He was born May 26, 1953, in Pittsburgh, and was the son of the late John Maxwell Ferguson and the late Rayna Louise (Hertwig) Ferguson.

John was a member of the Butler Book Club at the Butler Library. He enjoyed sports, animals, movies, reading and music.

He is survived by his sister, Jeanette Nestor and her husband, Gary, of Saxonburg; one nephew, Christopher Nestor; and a cousin, Thomas Hertwig and his wife, Kaye.

FERGUSON — A memorial service for John Maxwell Ferguson Jr., who died Sunday, Jan. 8, 2023, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023, at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler, with Pastor Merry Meloy officiating.

Memorial donations may be made to the Orphans of the Storm Building Fund, 11878 PA-85, Kittanning, PA 16201.
