Ralph R. Plunkard, 58, of Mars, passed away on Thursday evening, Jan. 12, 2023, at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township.

Born in Kittanning on May 23, 1964, he was the son of the late Melvin L. and Genevieve G. Draper Plunkard Sr.

Ralph had been a school bus driver for North Allegheny School District.

Surviving are his wife, Margo L. Whitfield Plunkard, whom he married on Sept. 22, 1998; his stepson, Jason Lent of Indiana, Pa.; his stepdaughter, Amanda Shutko (John) of Michigan; five step-grandchildren; his sisters, Linda Plunkard of Evans City, Debra Sue Betts of Sarver and Beatrice Wideman (Milton) of Canton, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Melvin L. Plunkard Jr. and Robert Plunkard.

PLUNKARD — Friends of Ralph R. Plunkard, who died Thursday, Jan. 12, 2023, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.

Services will follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the family to assist with their expenses.
