Jennings center has variety of activities

Jennings Environmental Education Center, 2951 Prospect Road, Brady Township, has the following activities scheduled:

9 a.m. to noon Jan. 26 and 1 to 3 p.m. Jan. 29. Homeschool CSI: The Case of the Vanishing Birds. Join other homeschool families and Jennings staff to unravel the mystery of “The Case of the Vanishing Birds” through hands-on activities, games, observing and counting birds at the feeders and more.

This program is designed for children age 5 and older. Cost $3/person (or $12/family). Register at events.dcnr.pa.gov or by calling the center at 724-794-6011 no later than Jan. 24 for the Jan. 26 program and Jan. 26 for the Jan. 29 program.

6 p.m. Jan. 25, Feb. 22, March 29. Jennings Nature Trivia Nights. Join the Jennings staff in the center’s classroom for Nature Trivia Nights. Come solo or as a team. Be ready to compete, have fun, and test your nature knowledge. There will be prizes for winners. This event is free, and no registration is required.

If you need an accommodation to participate in park activities due to a disability, contact the Jennings center. With at least three days’ notice, interpreters for people who are deaf or hard of hearing are available for educational programs.
