Mary Anne Leicher
Mary Anne Leicher, 69, of Butler, passed away Sunday, Jan. 8, 2023, surrounded by her loving family at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.
She was born May 14, 1953, in Pittsburgh, and was the daughter of the late Leonard and Gloria (Sullivan) Broskey.
Mary Anne was an amazing cook and was known for her apple dumplings, chocolate covered strawberries, and was always whipping up some kind of dessert. She enjoyed tending to her garden, her many flowers and feeding the hummingbirds. She loved to swim and spend time in her pool with her grandchildren. Mary Anne loved a good crossword puzzle, playing DJ trivia, and card games with her husband and friends. She devoted her life to the needs of her husband and children, and always put others before herself.
Surviving are her husband of 52 years, Carl N. Leicher Sr. of Butler; her two children, Tammy (Scott) Grassi and Carl N. (Jill) Leicher Jr., both of Butler; five grandchildren, Joshua, Tanner, Kameron, Maggie and Andy; her four siblings, Leo (Phyllis) Broskey of Shaler, Dorothy May (Barry) Leicher of Chicora, Edward (Stacie) Broskey of Butler, and Leonard Broskey of Shaler; and a number of nieces, nephews and other family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Helen Broskey.
LEICHER — Friends of Mary Anne Leicher, who died Sunday, Jan. 8, 2023, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at New Life Christian Ministries, 139 Knoch Road, Saxonburg, with Pastor Barry Leicher officiating.
Private interment will be held in the Saxonburg Cemetery.
