George F. Morrow
George F. Morrow, 74, of Gibsonia, passed away suddenly on Jan. 6, 2023.
Born in Chicora, he was the son of the late Robert J. Morrow and E. JoAnne Morrow.
He was the beloved husband for 53 years to Dr. M. Marlene Morrow.
He was the loving father to two wonderful daughters, Tracy and Lisa Morrow; and the brother of Douglas (Lori) Morrow, Kevin (Tina) Morrow, and the late Robert J. Morrow Jr.
George graduated from East Brady Area High School, and earned a B.S. in civil engineering from Penn State University. He was a member of Alpha Chi Sigma Fraternity.
His civil engineer and sales career in heavy equipment machinery started at Caterpillar, which took him and his young family overseas to Iran, Switzerland and Spain before returning to the states in late 1970s to continue his sales career until he retired.
Outside of work and family, George had a strong sense of duty and purpose that was recognized and respected by many, locally and across Pennsylvania. He was a past member of Butler Lodge 272 F&AM, district deputy grand master for the 26th Masonic District, past grand high priest of the Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Pennsylvania, and 33rd Degree Scottish Rite Mason. He was very active and held several positions in many Masonic groups.
MORROW — Visitation for George F. Morrow, who died Friday, Jan. 6, 2023, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown.
A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home to honor and celebrate George’s life and legacy, which touched so many.
Officers and members of the Butler Lodge 272 F&AM will conduct Masonic services as a part of the memorial service. The family will host fellowship immediately following the service.
