David VanDyke

VanDyke

David L. VanDyke, 71, of Cranberry Township, passed away on Wednesday morning, Jan. 4, 2023, in the comfort of his home.

Born in Butler on June 22, 1951, he was the son of David A. and Patricia Snider VanDyke.

He was a chef and had owned the Fifth Avenue Bar and Grill in Clarion.

David was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Surviving are his wife, Linda Sahli VanDyke, whom he married on July 20, 1978; a daughter, Heather McCoy (Kevin) of Penn Hills; a son, Ben VanDyke (Beth Ann) of Arizona; his grandchildren, Andin, Kellan and Ashlyn; his parents, David and Patricia VanDyke of Connoquenessing; a sister, Cathy Williams (Fred) of Connoquenessing; two brothers, Mark VanDyke (Cindy) of Shippenville, and Steve VanDyke of Evans City; and his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer N. VanDyke.

VANDYKE — Services and interment are private for David L. VanDyke, who died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2023.

Arrangements are under the direction of MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
