Raymond Bartlett, 85, of Valencia, passed away on Monday, Jan. 2, 2023.

Born June 10, 1937, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Edward M. and Edith Lawther Bartlett.

Ray proudly served in the U.S. Army.

He was a lifetime member of the Harmony Volunteer Fire Department.

Over the years, he was employed as a bus driver and truck driver. He also worked at Hockenberger Motors for many years, and most recently he had worked for Hovis Auto Supply.

He was a selfless man, who was happiest when doing things for other people. In his free time, he enjoyed camping, going for rides, and working on his relatives’ farms. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

Ray leaves behind to cherish his memory his children, Eugene R. (Peggy) Bartlett, Beverly (Mark) Stilts, Jeffery Bartlett and Tom (Christie) Bartlett; his brother, Howard (Judy) Bartlett; his grandchildren, Brandy (James) Wright, Donald (Jamie) Yeany III, Chris (Amber) Stilts, Mickaila (Joe) Racke, Morgan Bartlett, Jamie Bartlett, Matt (Melanie) Bartlett and Jon Bartlett; and his 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Betty Jo Bartlett, who passed away on Aug. 10, 2012; and his brothers, Sam and Robert.

BARTLETT — A memorial service for Raymond Bartlett, who died Monday, Jan. 2, 2023, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.

Ray will be laid to rest at Pinewood Memorial Gardens in Cranberry Township.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ray’s honor directly to the family to help offset funeral costs.
