Jennings Environmental Education Center, 2951 Prospect Road, Brady Township, will hold its annual Christmas Bird Count on Sunday, Dec. 17.

The Bartramian Audubon Society’s 124th Christmas Bird Count at Jennings will run from 9 a.m. to noon.

Participants who attend the free event will be in an observation area with bird feeders outside of a large window.

Experts at the education center will explain observing, counting and recording procedures and help identify birds seen at the outdoor feeders.

The event is an ideal way to learn about the National Audubon Society’s original citizen science project, assist in gathering vital data on bird populations and migration and increase birding skills.

No registration is required to attend the event.
