Fall registration open for NAMI’s Family-to-Family Program
Registration is open for NAMI Butler County PA’s free Family-to-Family educational course designed for family and friends of someone with a mental health condition.
The two-hour classes will be held on Wednesdays beginning this week and continuing through Nov. 15 at the National Alliance on Mental Illness Butler office in the Holly Pointe Building, 220 S. Main St. Course materials will be provided at no cost.
Course topics include current treatments and therapies, finding local support services, handling crises, solving problems, communicating effectively with your ill loved one, managing stress and understanding the impact a mental health condition can have on family and friends. The program is facilitated by trained family members with lived experiences.
