In the wake of a national blood shortage, the American Red Cross is asking people to make a pit stop to give blood during the month of September.

The Red Cross has teamed up with Sports Clips so that all those who donate blood this month will receive a free haircut coupon by email.

Those who donate also will get automatically be entered for a chance to win a trip for two and VIP experience to the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series and Xfinity Races at Darlington Raceway.

The prize includes round-trip airfare for two to South Carolina, up to a three-night hotel stay, entry to the Sport Clips racetrack hospitality tent, and a $1,000 gift card for expenses.
