Harry C. “Bim” Brenneman III, 82, of East Brady, formerly of Freeport, passed away peacefully with his friends by his bedside on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2022, at Quality Life Services-Sugar Creek Rest in Worthington.

Harry was born in Natrona Heights on Nov. 23, 1940, and was a son of the late Mary Elizabeth (Long) and Harry C. Brenneman Jr.

Bim graduated from Salem College in West Virginia, with a degree in education.

He began his teaching career in Rural Valley as a shop teacher. Bim then went to Kiski Area High School and taught industrial arts. He taught for 32 years and retired in 1988.

Bim was a member of Armstrong Lodge 239 in Freeport, Valley of New Castle Scottish Rite. He was a past member and chairman of the South Buffalo Township planning committee.

He had enjoyed running his backhoe service, antiques, and working on and collecting hot rod and classic cars. Bim is survived by his companion, Nancy (Latini) Summers of East Brady, and many good friends.

Bim was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Kathryn L. (Rupert) Brenneman, who passed in 2009.

BRENNEMAN — Friends of Harry C. “Bim” Brenneman III, who died Thursday, Dec. 29, 2022, will be received from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at REDMOND FUNERAL HOME, 524 High St., Freeport.

A service will follow at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Joseph J. Boomhower of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Chicora officiating.

A private burial will be held in Freeport Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to AHN Cancer Institute-Butler, 160 Hollywood Drive, Pullman Business Park, Butler, PA 16001; and/or Orphans of the Storm, 11878 Pennsylvania 85, Kittanning, PA 16201.
