Mary Mohn
Mary Jacqueline “Jacky” Mohn, 87, of Butler, passed away Dec. 27, 2022, at her residence.
Born Jan. 24, 1935, in Ford City, she was a daughter of the late Wendell Karl and Margaret Josephine (Fichter) Hume.
She graduated from Butler High School, and Seton Hill College with a degree in dietetics.
She worked as a dietitian for Ellwood City, Butler and Grove City hospitals until she retired.
She was a beloved mother and friend to all, and the matriarch of the family, whose door was always open to friends and family. She loved puzzles, crossword puzzles, “Jeopardy” and visiting every state’s highest point with her husband, Jim. They had camped at Wolfs Den Camping Resort in Knox, Pa., for many years.
She was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Paul Church.
She is survived by her children, Karen Johnson, Keith Mohn, Kevin Mohn, Kurt Mohn and Mark (Mary) Mohn.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Amanda Martin, Kimberly and Joe Saviano, Jason Johnson, Keely Mohn, Erika and Chris McCullough, Cassandra Mohn, Miranda Mohn, Thomas Mohn and Tyler Mohn; and one great-grandchild, Rosemary Saviano.
In addition to her parents, Wendell and Margaret (Babe) Hume, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Mohn; and her daughter-in-law, Kelly Mohn.
MOHN — Friends of Mary Jacqueline “Jacky” Mohn, who died Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2022, will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler.
Interment will follow at the Calvary Cemetery in Butler.
