Powerball ticket for $100K sold in Meridian

A lucky Powerball customer is $100,000 richer, thanks to a stop at the Sheetz in the Meridian neighborhood of Butler Township.

Pennsylvania Lottery announced Thursday morning that the ticket was purchased at the store at the corner of Evans City and Meridian roads for the Wednesday, Dec. 28, Powerball drawing.

The winning numbers are 26, 32, 38, 45 and 56, plus the Power Play option. The ticket matched four of the five numbers on the white balls.

Without the $1 Power Play, the ticket would have paid out $50,000.

The Sheetz location will receive a $500 bonus for selling the ticket.

Pennsylvania Lottery winners have one year from the drawing date to claim their prizes.

Winning tickets purchased at a retailer should immediately be signed on the back, according to lottery officials.

Players may visit palottery.com for more information on how to file a prize claim.
