Linda Kay Geibel, 72, of East Butler, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2022, with her family by her side.

Born June 14, 1950, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late John and Emma (Shodd) Deal.

Linda was a graduate of Butler High School.

She was very active in the community and belonged to the East Butler Hunting and Fishing Club, East Butler Fireman’s Club, Chicora Moose, Boyers Sportsmen’s Club and the Northeastern Walking Horse Association. She was also a member of St. Clare Parish, St. Wendelin Catholic Church.

Linda loved spending time with her grandchildren, riding horses, wagon training, camping, and spending time with her friends.

Linda is survived by her husband, Larry F. Geibel, whom she married on Sept. 9, 1972; two sons, Wayne (Jennell) Geibel of Butler and Chad (Ashley) Geibel of West Sunbury; her daughter, Christine Geagan of Chicora; five grandchildren, Blayne (Lauren), Kaitlyn, Braydan, Cooper and Riley; two great-grandchildren, Rhylee and Brynlee; her sister, Betty (Eugene) Daniels of West Sunbury; her former daughter-in-law, Becky Arblaster; and several nieces and nephews.

GEIBEL — All are invited to attend a visitation for Linda Kay Geibel, who died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2022, will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Clare of Assisi Parish, St. Wendelin Catholic Church, 210 Saint Wendelin Road, Butler, with Father Matt McClain officiating.
