Red Kettle campaign at 63% of goal

PITTSBURGH – The Salvation Army Western Pennsylvania Division is in the last few days of its most important fundraiser of the year.

So far, the division has raised an estimated $1.45 million across 28 counties, more than 63 percent of the total fundraising goal of $2.294 million by Saturday.

Nicole Harrell, Salvation Army director of marketing and public relations, said the Butler County worship and service center had raised $51,762 by Wednesday, 57.5% of its goal of $90,000 by Saturday.

The Red Kettle Campaign supports families and individuals across 28 counties, and ensures The Salvation Army can continue its critical services including feeding programs, rent and utility assistance, seasonal assistance, youth empowerment and spiritual programs.
