Police reports
The following items were collected from various police departments and district courts.
Dec. 6 — Two 13-year-old female students at Butler Intermediate High School were charged with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia following an incident at the school.
Nov. 30 — Shelly M. Hammond, 37, of Butler, was charged with accidents involving damage to an attended vehicle, driving with a suspended license and other traffic violations. Police said she rear-ended another vehicle while driving on Route 356 and drove away without exchanging information with the other driver.
Dec. 16 — Deshawn Lorenzo Wilson, 19, of Gary, Ind., was charged with theft by deception, possessing an instrument of crime, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. Police said he attempted to buy popcorn at the Cranberry Cinemas with a fraudulent $100 bill and then fled on foot through the Cranberry Mall parking lot after officers approached him. He is being held in the county prison in lieu of $10,000 bail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 30.
Nov. 30 — Kimberly M. Gray, 48, of Saxonburg, was charged with forgery and theft by unlawful taking. Police said she forged her boyfriend’s name on a check for $2,000 and deposited the money into her bank account.
Dec. 17 — A car driven by Dennis J. Burk, 54, of New Castle in Lawrence County, was traveling north on Bonniebrook Road just south of Herman Road in Summit Township at 8:53 p.m. when it began to slide on the snow-covered road, struck a rock and rolled over. Burk and his two passengers were wearing seat belts; they were injured and taken to Butler Memorial Hospital.
