Alexander “Alex” Lotraris, 82, of Butler, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2022, at Autumn Grove Transitions Health Care Center.

He was born Jan. 16, 1940, in Vandergrift, and was the son of the late Gus Lotraris and the late Irene (Crulicki) Tomaras.

Alex graduated from Vandergrift High School.

He worked at Pullman Standard and was also a self-employed barber.

Alex was always proud and supportive of his family’s accomplishments, and loved spending time with his great-grandchildren, Hendrix and Sawyer. Alex enjoyed fishing, and was a talented artist. He enjoyed drawing caricatures of celebrities, loved ones and friend’s pets.

Alex is survived by his three daughters, Tammy Huth of Butler, Barbara Mook of Butler, and Christian Massier and her husband, Rob, of Naperville, Ill.; one stepdaughter, Christine Davis and her husband, Gordon, of Butler; one stepson, Steven Pomykata and his wife, Darcie, of Butler; four grandchildren, Adam and Kelly Huth, and Alexis and Max Mook; five stepgrandchildren, Gavin, Owen and Alayna Davis, and Madison and Jacob Pomykata; one sister, Maria Futules of Akron, Ohio; and one niece.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Maxine (Cooper) Lotraris; and his second wife, Beverly (Campbell) Lotraris.

LOTRARIS — Arrangements for Alexander “Alex” Lotraris, who died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2022, were entrusted to THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.

Inurnment will take place in St. John’s Cemetery in Coylesville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Road, Renfrew, PA 16053.
