Jack Grossman
Jack D. Grossman, 71, of New Castle, was called home to be with the Lord, unexpectedly at UPMC Jameson on Wednesday evening Dec. 7, 2022.
Jack was born on Feb. 13, 1951, in Meadville, Pa., a son of the late Royal Jack and Ella Mae (Scott) Grossman. He met the love of his life, former Freeda Walker and married on May 29, 1986. They spent 36 years raising a family and building their lives together. Jack was a salesman who owned and operated multiple businesses, most recently Zone Publishing. He was currently employed as a driver for ACTS Bus Service of New Castle.
Jack was strong in his faith and loved his church and family, especially being able to share time with his grandchildren and first great grandchild. He was an avid motorcyclist who loved to take long rides on his Harley Davison with his family/friends, with the occasional need for GPS.
He is survived by his wife Freeda; two son’s Ben (Melissa) Grossman of Lake Wylie, SC and Danny Peters of Lake Wylie, SC; a daughter Melissa (Kevin) Williams of New Castle, PA; a brother Ron (Carla) Grossman of Cochranton, PA; 4 grandchildren Ella Grossman, Christopher (Kaitlyn) Apodaca, Caleb Lombardo and Joshua Lombardo; a great-grandson Mason Apodaca.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Ricky Peters.
GROSSMAN — Services for Jack D. Grossman, who died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2022, will be held Wednesday at the Church of Genesis, 303 N. Cedar St., New Castle, with Pastor Ron Eade officiating. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. with funeral to follow at 5 p.m.
Jack will be laid to rest in his final resting place at the Hadley Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the ROBERT L. SNYDER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville.
