New administrator hired at Haine Elementary

Thomas McKelvey

Thomas McKelvey is the new assistant principal at Haine Elementary School in Cranberry Township.

He will join the staff in January.

McKelvey, a Hampton Township resident, served in various faculty and administrative roles in multiple Beaver County school districts.

He most recently served for one year as principal at Highland Elementary School in the Ambridge School District. His previous roles at Ambridge include middle school principal and State Street Elementary principal.

McKelvey also has teaching and administrative experience at the Woodland Hills and Beaver Area school districts.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in education with certifications in elementary, special and middle school science education from Slippery Rock University.

McKelvey earned his master’s degree and principal certification from California University of Pennsylvania and is completing his work on a doctoral degree in educational leadership and administration from Point Park University in Pittsburgh.
