Double

Ethel P. Double, 72, of Chicora, died Thursday, Dec.1, 2022, at ACMH Hospital.

Born June 9, 1950, in East Brady, she was the daughter of James J. and Mary L. (Berteotti) Infantino.

Ethel was a 1968 graduate of East Brady High School and a 1972 graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a degree in elementary education. Ethel taught for 35 years in the Armstrong School District.

On June 30, 1973, she married Harold J. Double; he survives.

Ethel was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening in her backyard and meeting her longtime teaching colleagues for their monthly meals.

She is survived by her husband, Harold Double of Chicora; and two sons, Ryan Double and Travis Double, both of Chicora. Ethel also is survived by three sisters, Bridget and her husband John Mayak of Somerset, Mary Ann and her husband Andrew Zeitler of Washington, Pa., and Judy Infantino of Chicora; one brother, Richard Infantino of Chicora; and a large extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and an infant brother, James Infantino.

DOUBLE — Friends of Ethel P. Double, who died Thursday, Dec.1, 2022, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m., Tuesday at BUECHELE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 707 Kellys Way, East Brady.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick Church, 915 State Route 68, East Brady, with the Rev. Victor Baguna officiating.

Her burial will be private.

The Double family asks in lieu of flowers that contributions be made to the St. Patrick Log Church Building Fund. Checks may be made payable to St. Patrick Church, (“Log Church” indicated in the memo line) 915 SR 68, East Brady, PA 16028.
