Local author to launch children’s book
Local author J.B. Vettori will launch her first children’s book, “Sully & Friends Cross the Road“ at the South Butler Community Library, 240 W. Main St., Saxonburg, at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3. The event is open to the public and will feature a children’s craft, storytelling by the author and the opportunity to get a book signed.
“The book is set in Saxonburg,” Vettori said, “so Saxonburg is the right place for this event.”
The story follows a snapping turtle and his friends who go on a journey and help each other along the way.
While Sully & Friends is her first children’s book, this is the author’s second book in publication. In 2012, she released “Upside Down Kingdom,” a novel of historic fiction set in Washington, D.C., under her maiden name Jody Brown.
Copies of “Sully & Friends Cross the Road” will be available for purchase at Saturday’s event.
