William O’Donnell
William “Bill” O’Donnell, 83, of Butler, passed away on Nov. 28, 2022, at the Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia.
He was born March 22, 1939, in Butler, and was the son of the late William O’Donnell and the late Helena Neff O’Donnell.
Bill graduated from Butler High School.
He served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force.
Bill retired from Heckett Multi-Serve.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Butler.
Bill enjoyed golfing, and he was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan. He especially loved spending time with his grandkids.
Bill is survived by his two sons, Randall (Karen) O’Donnell of Medina, Ohio, and Kevin O’Donnell of Clermont, Fla.; eight grandchildren, Kaley, Rachel, Waylon, Brisco (Lindsey), Elle, Rafe, Theo and Tess O’Donnell; two sisters, Anna Marie Magill of Fairfax, Va., and Margaret Steiner of Chicora; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Heist O’Donnell, whom he married on Sept. 4, 1960, and who passed away Feb. 6, 2019; three brothers, Lewis, Harry and Floyd O’Donnell; one sister, Rose Filges; and two infant children.
O’DONNELL — Friends of William “Bill” O’Donnell, who died Monday, Nov. 28, 2022, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church, 200 E. North St., Butler, with Pastor David Janz officiating.
Burial will take place at Greenlawn Burial Estates.
