Maya Ann Atkinson
Maya Ann Atkinson’s precious soul was received by Heaven on Friday, Nov. 11, 2022.
She was the beautiful firstborn daughter of Krysjen Brothern and Tyler Atkinson; the beloved joy of Nana and Pap (Lisa and J. Fulks of Butler) and Grandma and Granddad (Tonja and John Brothern of Mars); the beloved great-granddaughter of Elizabeth (Betty) Weisenstein and Christine Brothern; and the delight of her aunts and uncles, Alisha Weisenstein, Anjaleque Braswell and John (David) Brothern. She is also survived by many great-aunts and great-uncles.
She was born at West Penn Hospital on Oct. 18, 2022. In her 24 days of life, our sweet baby girl forever changed the lives of all who met and held her. She brightened the lives of the many family and friends spanning the nation who did not yet get a chance to meet and hold her. In a world full of doubt and dismay, she was a blessing of immeasurable proportion, a spring of boundless joy, a reflection of God’s kindness, and loved more than any words could describe.
She is our deeply loved “Grumpkins,” our dearest, sweetest “Chicken Baby,” our adorable “Maya-Papaya,” and our happy sunshine “Chunk.” She is now home in the care of Jesus, the Heavenly Host, the great and great-great-grandparents, and the rest of the family in Heaven.
We do not weep for you, Maya girl, but for the time and pain we must endure until we meet again.
