Raymond Curry Jr.

Raymond B. Curry Jr., 89, of Saxonburg, formerly of Gibsonia and the North Side, died peacefully on Nov. 15, 2022.

Born in Pittsburgh on April 21, 1933, he was the son of the late Raymond and Florence Coon Curry Sr.

He was the beloved husband of the late Barbara Fennell Curry; the loving father of Debra (Martin) Schirra, Ramona (Mike) Mlikan, Diana (Ken) Ratay, Raymond (Amy) Curry III, Shawn (Mary) Curry, and the late Linda (late William) Adler; and was the brother of the late Laura Bennett.

He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Ray was a U.S. Army veteran, who served overseas in Germany.

He loved to travel in his motor home with Barbara, and most of all, spending time with family and his grandchildren.

A great athlete and lifelong die-hard baseball fan, Ray once tried out for the Pirates farm team, played in softball leagues every year up until the age of 87, and was the biggest fan of Roberto Clemente.

CURRY — Friends of Raymond B. Curry Jr., who died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2022, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Adam Farrell officiating.

Interment will follow at Bakerstown Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Salvation Army, 313 W. Cunningham St., Butler, PA 16001.
