Tyrone Gregory

Gregory

Tyrone Louis Gregory passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, Nov. 7, 2022. He was surrounded by his loving wife of 36 years, Margo, and his best pal, Bentley (Buppy).

Tyrone was born on Nov. 9, 1946, in Butler. He was one of five children born to Leonard F. Gregory Sr. and Dimitra Keffalas Gregory.

Tyrone’s love of life — to live, love and laugh with family and friends — was most important to him, as was his career as a successful, well-respected painting contractor, traveling six states doing McDonald’s restaurants for over 30 years. Ty also enjoyed cooking for family and friends, and volunteering alongside his wife with Habitat for Humanity, delivering Mobile Meals, and making Italian wedding soup for the church’s annual mission bazaar, as well as serving those in need at Volunteer Ministry Center.

Since retiring, Ty’s mission in life was to take his best pal, Bentley, to join their friends at Concord Dog Park.

Tyrone was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard F. Gregory Sr. and Dimitra Keffalas Gregory; and his brothers, John Anthony Gregory, Leonard F. Gregory Jr. and Richard Noel Gregory.

He is survived by his wife, Margo Henslee Gregory; his son, John L. Gregory (Angel Powers) of Butler; his daughter, Jessica Gregory (Mark Silva) of Richmond, Va.; his brother, James D. Gregory (Sue Gregory) of Butler; his grandchildren, Colton John Gregory and Nickolas Gregory Silva; his sister-in-law, Kim Henslee; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his family, he is survived by his close friends, Jim and Sue Bryant and Dave and Becky Hutton.

GREGORY — Visitation for Tyrone Louis Gregory, who died Monday, Nov. 7, 2022, will begin at 4:30 p.m. followed by a celebration of life service at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, 2022, at Farragut Presbyterian Church, 209 Jamestown Blvd., Farragut, Tenn.

Arrangements by CREMATION OPTIONS, Knoxville, Tenn.
