Military service members are once again being recognized through banner placement in Slippery Rock, with the program being extended into Slippery Rock Township as well.

Information about a service member, including name, age, branch of service, highest rank obtained, years of service and a photo can be sent to James Pasqualini, so they can be displayed on a banner hung in the borough or township.

The Slippery Rock VFW is sponsoring the program, and will print an all-weather banner to be displayed for military personnel.

People interested in submitting a veteran to have the picture displayed can contact Pasqualini at jamespasqualini@yahoo.com with the necessary information. The program requests a minimum donation of $95 per banner to help cover the program’s cost. The money will benefit the Slippery Rock VFW.
