The military appreciation banner program started in Slippery Rock borough is now being extended to Slippery Rock Township as well.

The all-weather banners with the service member’s picture, name and relevant military information can be displayed in recognition of the service to our nation. The banners’ subjects are currently serving U.S. military personnel or veterans, living or dead. The program is sponsored by the Slippery Rock VFW post, and part of the cost of the banner will be subsidized by the post.
